The Kumon Method

Text Box: Fall is here with report cards! We would love to hear about how our students are doing at school. A few of you had already shared the report cards with us. We hope to hear from the rest of you too. As you may already know, the Kentucky schools have advanced their curriculum up to two grades in every grade starting from kindergarten. This is a good change in the long run but students in the intermediate grades might find it hard to adjust to the advanced concepts. Keeping up with your Kumon studies is the best way to deal with this. Since the Kumon curriculum advances sequentially, your child will not miss any of the building blocks that he/she needs for a strong foundation. We are planning on having our Annual Awards Ceremony on December 3, 2011 at the Scheben branch library in Union from 1:30PM through 3:30 PM. We know that a lot of our “Kumonsters” are looking forward to this day. Our experience from the previous years is that it motivates the students tremendously. We will be honoring all our students who attend our Center during this ceremony and so would like all our students to be present. So please mark your calendar and save the date. There will be awards for honor rolls, 100% summer attendance, and for those who worked harder in summer. Our corporate is organizing a Fall Sweepstakes campaign to promote enrollments during the month of October. Twelve selected winners will receive $2000 scholarships. All the new enrollments for the month of October will be automatically entered in the sweepstakes. Current students are also eligible to enter but they need to fill in the entry form kept in the parent waiting area. So please remember to fill in the forms and drop them in the box provided. The public is also welcome to participate in the Sweepstakes. There is no purchase necessary for prospective parents. Anybody who is interested in the program can also enter the sweepstakes. So please encourage your friends and neighbors to drop by during our center hours and fill in the entries for their children. The sweepstakes are open through Oct.31.
